One of my goals is to read the Bible all the way through this year. Here are some more thoughts from the journey.
- Reading Romans gives me this feeling like I'm seeing the tip of a theological iceberg. So much depth to this letter.
- Someday I'd love to preach through Romans. Might need to read it another 75 more times first!
- I feel this way about Church of the King. We're having a global impact!
- Paul knew what it was like to experience delayed goals and plans.
- Eagerness is one of the signs that you're called to preach. Like Paul, you can't not preach!
- The definition of idolatry, and one of the most foundational verses in the Bible. Worth memorizing!
- I think it's healthy to spend some time thinking about God's judgment. Not something we preach very much.
- So glad for grace!
- So happy for this truth about circumcision. So very happy:)
- No one is righteous. Not even one.
- Peace, faith, grace, and hope all in the same verse. No wonder Paul's rejoicing!
- Jesus wouldn't let Adam's sin have the final say.
- One of the first verses I ever memorized!
- Religion's ultimate frustration.
- Get up and dance! Seriously! Have you read this?
- Keep your suffering in perspective. Something's happening below the surface, and soon it will be revealed.
- I believe this even more now that I'm 30:)
- We don't need hope for the things we can already see.
- I'll take the Holy Spirit's help when I pray any day.
- Wow! Romans 8 has got to be one of the top ten most quoted chapters in the Bible.
- This is why I preach!
- Worship is so practical. You're worshiping whatever you're making the most amount of sacrifices for.
- This would be a fun competition!
- Paying your taxes is biblical after all!
- Obeying this verse would solve so many problems in the church!
- Christians have a responsibility to Jewish neighbors.
- Watch Paul plan!
- To me Romans 16 is a list of funny names. To Paul, it's a lifetime of friendships.
- Hope to write my own "Romans 16 list" one day!
