Even people who've never read the Bible have heard of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. I've always assumed the cities were destroyed because of sexual immorality. But today I came across this in Ezekiel 16.49.
Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.
Maybe selfishness and materialism are more dangerous than we think.

I read that passage a few weeks ago in my daily reading. The same revelation hit me, Brad. How far off is America from our downfall? I pray he finds enough righteous to spare our nation until His return.
