Yesterday Steve Williams talked to me. In case that doesn't impress you, I should tell you that Steve Williams, or Stevie as I prefer to call him, is Tiger Wood's caddie.
My dad, Rob and I went to watch the final round of the Grand Slam of Golf at Poipu Bay. Tiger has owned the four man event winning six out of the seven times he's been in it. This year he beat Jim Furyk, Geoff Ogilvy and Mike Weir.
The crowd was relatively small so we were able to follow the foursome pretty close most of the day. During his back nine push to the finish line I tried to be an ecouragement to Tiger. At one point, in a green side bunker, I reminded him to keep his club face open and swing smooth.
That's when it happened.
Steve Williams turned around and spoke to me.
"Quiet Please."
He must have interpreted my insightful advice as a threat to his job security.
LOL! Great, I love this. What a great scene to imagine.
