Defense Wins Championships

And this years Michigan defense is one of the best ever.  What that means for Saturday's game is simply this:

Michigan 24

Ohio State 13

Granted, few teams have been able to stop Ohio State's offense this year.  But even fewer have been able to move the ball against MIchigan's defense.  So in honor of the Wolverine's upcoming 2006 national championship, I offer this simple acrostic.

G is for God being a Wolverine fan.

O is for one more opportunity for Ohio State graduates Jason and Andrea Huang to repeal their wager with me.  I love you guys.  I really do.  And I'd hate to see you getting your picture taken in all my Michigan gear.  What's more, I'd really hate to post that picture on this blog for all the world to see:)

B is for Buckeye fans wearing bags over their heads on Monday.

L is for long live Loyd Carr.  Everyone around here wanted him fired before the start of the season, but I've always been a believer.  He's one of the most underrated coaches in the country.

U is for Underrated.  Mario Manningham, Ron English, Michael Hart, Chad Henne; even the Michigan soundkeeper is the best in the Big Ten at his position.

E is for Everyone in my family SHOULD be a Michigan fan.  I hate to see so many of them disappointed.  This cousin will wish she hadn't jumped on the Buckeye bandwagon.  And this cousin will beg me to delete his misguided comments from my blog.  At least for my Uncle Jim, who pastors Capital City Church in Columbus, there will be many hurting people in his city that he can introduce to Jesus.

So I leave you with this cheer.  Take your hand away from your mouse, cup it to your mouth, and yell it loud.

GO BLUE! I agree, defense wins championships, lets just hope that Chad Henne can get the offense going and we will be in good shape! I would like to say sit back, relax and enjoy the game, BUT if your anything like me and anyone in my family there will be very little sitting back, and lots of jumping up and yelling. Enjoy the best football game of the year!
