I remember when the "Passion of the Christ" came out; I was in total wonder why anyone wouldn't want to experience that point of view. We all have our tender spots. And what is sin to one is not sin to another. But Good is good, because only God is good. And if I just am not ready to explore; I best get better prepared for the adventure.

very good thoughts. funny to compare two things when you haven't seen or read one of them though. :)

You're right Michael. My observations were more reflective of the Narnia series, and in any comparisons my goal was to throw out some questions so that someone who has seen it can answer them.

i was just giving you a hard time...all good stuff...

I know I'm over a month late in responding to this post and you dont know me, but I couldn't resist:) I am finishing up school to become a teacher and I have come to notice that Harry Potter is HUGE in schools today, with children and teachers alike. I have gotten into many discussions with parents, teachers, and with my peers that read Harry Potter. Like you, I have never read any of the books so I find it hard to get my point across. This post is awesome... it has so much truth to it, I loved your comments about evil and the difference in how it is portrayed. I loved Narnia and am always excited to see strong Christian values in the media, there is not enough out there. I agree that CS Lewis is an amazing example of a true christian, I have read parts of Mere Christianity and found it to be very powerful amd nothing less than inspiring!!

So a very long way of saying, great post, and thanks because what you have said will help me in the future!
