Future AG

I grew up in a church that is a part of the Assemblies of God fellowship.  I graduated from a Bible College that's a part of the Assemblies of God fellowship.  And I planted and pastor a church that is affiliated with the Assemblies of God fellowship.  I really love the AG and believe that our best days are ahead of us.

That's why I'm praying like crazy for our biannual meetings that will take place August 8-10 in Indianapolis.  Last week our General Superintendant, Thomas Trask, announced his resignation.  That leaves us with an important decision to make in a few weeks as to who will lead our fellowship into the future.

If you're young and involved with the AG I want to encourage you to engage in the decision that's about to be made.  PrayDialogue.  And if you can, show up at General Council and vote.

I've joined with some friends in a positive conversation to talk about the issues that are important for our fellowship as we move forward.  I hope the FutureAG blog will encourage healthy dialogue and inspire faith-filled prayer.

Come on over and join the conversation!

God will give you wisdom and courage. Remember He looks at the heart not at the outward appearance. Look at the fruit too.

great discussion... I have a few thoughts to add - am i too old for the FUTURE A/G status?!

you YOUNG PUNKS have a lot of nerve!! Ha!

Good stuff.... I am voting for you!!!

It is so important, you have it right Brad. I am also praying and I will be there!

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the position you have taken on the future of our movement. I can't think of anyone more qualified to challenge your generation of ministers to the impact they can have on the election of our new superintendent. I know I fall into the "over the hill" category of ministers that are way too often stuck in tradition and the more ultra conservative approaches to effectively reaching this generation. I want to let you know that, though some experiences in ministry have prejudiced my thinking, my heart is 100% linked with yours and hopefully the thousands of others who believe the greatest years of Assemblies of god ministry are ahead of us. It is time for significant change, and prayerfully the needed change will come from the ranks of progressive, positive, visionary thinkers like you.

You're a great friend and I value the continued relationship.
